Kristine
Director and founder
Kristine holds a master degree in economics and gained her NVQ 3 certificate in education, childcare, development and learning in 2008. Before she established the Kindergarten Forest Hill in February 2013 she served as Director for the German Kindergarten in Herne Hill for 5 years. She very much enjoys working with children, parents and a wonderful team.
Fabian
Manager, Early Years Educator
Fabian comes from Vienna, Austria, where he worked in an English/German bilingual setting for pre-school children for seven years before he joined the Kindergarten Forest Hill in September 2015. He is a trained Forest School and Montessori teacher and loves to work with children especially in the outdoors and on their physical development. In our setting he is in charge for the areas of learning 'The World', ‘PSED' and all outdoor activities. He is also in charge of our behaviour management.
Conny
Deputy Manager, Early Years Educator (Maternity Leave)
Conny comes from Germany, Dettenhausen where she graduated in 2017 as ‘Staatlich geprüfte Erzieherin’ (Early Years Educator). She spent the last two years working in a nursery in Germany before she joined our team in September 2019. Conny very much enjoys working with children and loves to support them in their personal development and skills. In our setting she is responsible for ‘Physical Development’ and our Spring of Feelings program.
Fiona-Maria
Nursery Assistant
Fiona-Maria grew up in Greece and Germany. Since 2021 she has been working with us as our nursery assistant. She is an actress and filmmaker, and whilst performing for children's theatre, she found her passion in working with children. To support them in their personal development and in their own individual creativity gives her much joy.
Johanna
Early Years Educator
Johanna is German and joined the Kindergarten in 2023. She has experience with children and teenagers in the mental health sector and worked abroad as an au pair for 2 years. Johanna is a qualified Early Years Teacher and loves to create and environment in which the children can explore their creativity.
Johanna is our Arts & crafts lead, is responsible for our PSED planning and is a vital part of our forest school program.
Mel
Acting Deputy Manager, Early Years Educator
Mel worked in childcare for 12 years before joining the Kindergarten team in 2021, and recently completed her qualification for a Level 3 in Early Years Education. She enjoys leading music sessions with the children and taking them on trips to the library and a nearby allotment. She loves to explore children’s imagination and development through play, music, art, and construction.
Mina
Nursery Assistant
Mina joined the Kindergarten in 2023 and has 2 years of experience working in childcare settings and also worked in baby sitting for several years.
Mina has a great way of supporting the children during free play and loves to construct, draw and to read with them.
One of Mina’s passions is cooking and she promotes healthy eating by showing the children how to bake healthy snacks.
Sonia
Nursery admin
Sonia joined Forest Hill Kindergarten at the start of May '22 working across our Forest Hill and Bellingham Green Nursery as a Nursery Administrator looking after admissions and parent accounts. Sonia has several years working in a childcare setting, having previously worked at Nelly's Nursery in Dulwich, where she was an Accounts Administrator. And as a parent herself, Sonia very much understands the importance of good parent/nursery communication, striving to make any processes as straight forward and responsive as possible for our new and existing families.
