The Kindergartens are open for 44 weeks a year.
We are closed in August, and two weeks over Christmas and Easter.
We are open during half terms.
Autumn term 2024: 2nd September until Friday19th December 2024
Spring term 2025: 6th January until Thursday 3rd April 2025
Summer term 2025: 22th April until Wednesday 31st July 2025

We feel that children settle in much easier and enjoy their time in the Kindergarten so much more when they feel part of a group. Therefore we offer spaces for two days per week or more.
We charge an application handling fee of £60.00 for a space on our waiting list. A registration fee of £150.00 that will be charged once a space is offered and accepted.

Kristine
Director, Manager and founder
Kristine holds a master degree in economics and gained her NVQ 3 certificate in education, childcare, development and learning in 2008. Before she established the Kindergarten Forest Hill in February 2013 she served as Director for the German Kindergarten in Herne Hill for 5 years. She very much enjoys working with children, parents and a wonderful team.
Following the success in Forest Hill she opened a second branch in Bellingham Green in March 2020 where she is particularly excited about the inspiring outdoor space the new setting has to offer.
Davinia
Manager, Early Years Educator
Davinia a qualified Nursery Nurse (NVQ3). She joined our setting in April 2022 with over 20+ years experience in working within a Nursery, Reception class and covering primary school Teacher’s PPA.
She specialises in phonics and has a passion for supporting and encouraging children in their Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
Eva
Deputy Manager, Early Years Educator,
Trained SENCO Teacher
Eva has been working with children for nearly a decade, and has previously worked in different nursery schools as early years practitioner, room leader, as well as Deputy Safeguarding Officer. She gained her NVQ 3 qualification in Childcare in 2014.
Eva joined our setting in June 2021 as room leader. She keeps an overview over our weekly planning, enjoys planting herbs and vegetables with our kids and surprises us regularly with delicious new baking and cooking activities.
Laura
Music and German Teacher
Laura is from Celle, Germany and joined our setting in September 2021. She is a qualified Early Years Teacher and loves to sing and dance with our children. She enjoys being creative and in the past Laura worked in Theatre groups, primary schools and kindergartens in Germany.
Laura is very excited to create colourful and fun projects and to show the children how to express their emotions and thoughts. She is creating wonderful theatre performances with the children every year and they are having so much fun creating the costumes and story together.
Sonia
Nursery admin
Sonia joined Forest Hill Kindergarten at the start of May '22 working across our Forest Hill and Bellingham Green Nursery as a Nursery Administrator looking after admissions and parent accounts. Sonia has several years working in a childcare setting, having previously worked at Nelly's Nursery in Dulwich, where she was an Accounts Administrator. And as a parent herself, Sonia very much understands the importance of good parent/nursery communication, striving to make any processes as straight forward and responsive as possible for our new and existing families.
Lori
Arts and Crafts Teacher
Lory has joined us from Hamburg, Germany, bringing seven years of experience working in a nursery and holding a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. Embracing the uniqueness of each child, she is dedicated to ensuring that every child feels truly seen, secure, and happy. Through forming meaningful connections, she loves to encourage children to grow, explore the world, and play to their hearts content.
Creativity lies at the heart of Lory's teaching philosophy. She is excited to engage in creative activities with the children, sparking their imagination through arts and crafts. By developing colourful and fun projects, she aims to enable children to express themselves and discover their unique creative potential.

Sophie is trained in child-, pregnancy- and postnatal nutrition and has long experience in looking after children as nanny. With her strong background in creative arts, she loves to support our children holistically by developing fun arts projects as well as imaginary games and storytelling.
